Non-Dairy Creamer Potluck Day (or Unique Solutions to Unusual Problems)
BY KATHERINE ROBERTS
Did you know that here at Carbon8 we have a major white powder problem? Now before you start getting “The Wolf of Wall Street” ideas, I’m talking about creamer. Non-dairy creamer, to be specific. We hate the stuff. Yet through an unfortunate miscommunication prior to a Costco run, we’re stuck with quite a bit of it.

So what do you do when you have an unusual issue, requiring a unique solution? Eat something, naturally. The Carbon8 team decided to throw a potluck lunch, during which our names would be drawn from a coffee mug, and we would each have one minute to present our idea: “What I Would Do with Eight Cases of Non-Dairy Creamer”.

So, with bellies full and brains buzzing, we took to the easel. Want some Homemade Vodka Crème? Done. Have you ever wondered what would happen if you set non-dairy creamer on fire and shot it from a Super Soaker? It’s terrifying. Finally, how does Kevin Bacon factor into all of this?

The point is simple: every day, we’re all faced with the opportunity to come up with unique ways to solve tasks. And Carbon8ers have decided that rather than dread problems, an effort should be made to make challenges fun. Not everything we do involves lunch, or coffee flavoring. But everything we do DOES involve putting our heads together, staying upbeat, and always trying to approach things from a different perspective.

Now THAT’S even better than a caffeine high.
