Branding and Website for Micro Data Centers

As a new micro data center startup, EdgeMicro brought Carbon8 the challenge of creating an impactful brand identity for an offering that didn’t yet exist. Our goal was to present a powerful story to investors and potential clients, striking the right balance between a high level, aspirational story about mobile Internet performance and the exciting technology. The new brand needed to demonstrate that EdgeMicro was the inevitable dominant player in the space, and scale to empower a sales team to tell a consistent, concise story.
Carbon8 created a brand story around the concept of  bringing content and compute close to end users, anchored by the tagline, “Get Closer.” We designed a bright, bold, modern logo, inspired by the micro data centers themselves, that stood out among the competition. Then we designed and developed a highly interactive website, with all kinds of explorable bells and whistles to underscore the legitimacy and sophistication of the offering. We built the site on an easy-to-use CMS and optimized the content for search. Since launch, organic traffic has trended steadily upwards.
