Advanced Brain Technologies (ABT) came to 9thWonder looking turn their music listening method, The Listening Program, from being administered through their international network of trained TLP Providers, to a self-service online experience. ABT’s primary objective was to create a new online experience of their product from the website and online registration process through to an actual online product experience. 9thWonder created an engaging website that encouraged sign ups, simplified a complex registration process and then designed the product UI to include methods for enticing members to keep listening, as well as to increase recurring membership renewals, customer referrals and profitability.

9thWonder approached the challenge with extensive discovery of the product requirements, benefits and target audience analysis. After the overall goals and requirements were established, 9thWonder audited and experienced competing product types, created personas and extensive workflows to establish the framework for the user experience from the website through ongoing product usage. After testing 3 design concepts for the websites, including buy-in from Guy Kawasaki, 9thWonder moved forward with the overwhelming favorite and built out the website, registration and program platform screens.

Online Platform

The online platform consisted of an interactive and informative dashboard and gamification techniques for retaining interest and engagement. With a self-service platform as opposed to the original guided program, we had to recreate the user’s path through the program modules, measures for success and on-going tactics to keep users motivated to continue.
